URSE FORMAT POLESTAR PRINCIPLES OF MOVEMENT (12-hours In Person) During this weekend, you will delve deeply into Polestar's core principles: breath, control, mobility, alignment, and movement integration. These principles are essential for understanding how to improve movement quality in your own body and provide you with effective strategies for cueing others in the future. The weekend will be hands-on, led by experienced instructors, and designed to enhance your practical skills whether you are aiming to work in therapeutic settings or fitness environments. This session is crucial for grasping the subtle nuances of body mechanics and integrating these insights into your future practice.

PHASE 1 (36-hours in person) Modules 1-3 of the program cover foundational principles and introduce basic to intermediate Pilates exercises. These modules include thorough orientation with various Pilates apparatus, providing clear guidelines on setup, necessary precautions, and modifications to accommodate different needs. Additionally, you will explore basic principles of program design, learning how to tailor sessions to individual requirements effectively. This section is essential for building a solid base in your Pilates teaching practice, ensuring you can confidently manage and adjust exercises to enhance client outcomes. Beginning in Module 2, practical competencies are assessed each module.

MIDTERM EXAM + APPRENTICE TEACHER CERTIFICATE Successful completion of all Phase 1 course materials, Module 4 practical competencies, plus a pass of the written exam grants an apprentice teaching certificate. This certificate allows participants to instruct the public. PHASE 2 (36-hours in person) Modules 4 to 6 advance into intermediate and advanced Pilates exercises, building on the foundational skills from earlier modules. This section introduces complex movements, focusing on refining exercise execution and adapting Pilates principles for diverse client needs. You'll expand your teaching skills and repertoire, equipping you to confidently address a broader range of client scenarios.

EXAM REVIEW + FINAL COMPETENCY (12-hours in person) This final weekend encompasses Module 6's practical competency assessment and a comprehensive exam review. Engage in a focused review of both practical and theoretical aspects, enhanced with specific topics and interactive games designed to reinforce key concepts and skills.
